Pornography Addiction

If you have developed a pornography addiction and it is causing you to:

  • Waste time
  • Waste Money
  • Develop erectile dysfunction
  • Destroy your marriage
  • cost you your job

It would be best if you took a moment to read the paragraphs below…

Is porn that bad?

If you want to sleep at night, you need to consider the ramifications of your actions whenever you do anything. It is easy to do something when everyone else is doing it. After all, if everyone does it… is it that bad?

The use of sex outside of a relationship has been normalized. The most straightforward example of normalization is pornography. When visiting a porn site and watching a video, you will see the total number of views in the thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions. It is easy to think, “There is nothing wrong with watching this video; fifty-five thousand other people have also viewed it.” You are correct; there are fifty-five thousand views. But what does this prove other than that there are a lot of guys watching porn?

Pornography is filmed prostitution. These women are real people performing sexual acts on camera. Many of them are having sex with men that they just met minutes before in a studio full of people watching. She is someone’s daughter. She may be a child’s mother. As someone who has viewed my fair share of pornography, I regret it. I have both a daughter and a wife. It would be a nightmare if I discovered they were involved in any of these acts.

The same goes for exotic dancers and sex workers. These women, too, are someone’s daughter. Many of the women exploiting themselves in these ways are sick. They are drug addicts, sex addicts, have been sexually abused, and may suffer from severe mental health issues. Using them for sex is the last thing men should be doing.

I’m not telling anyone how to express themselves sexually. However, I am saying that viewing pornography is not victimless. Every time that you view pornography hire a sex worker, or visit a strip club, there is a woman on the other side who is a human being with needs and dreams of her own. As long as men continue to use women for sex, women will continue to be paid to perform. Let’s hope your daughter or wife doesn’t become one of them.

Addiction is Human

Addiction is more normal than it is made out to be. Humans want things. It is what we do. We want to do more of what makes us feel good and less of what makes us feel bad. While this doesn’t necessarily mean that you will develop an addiction, it is very possible that you could.

I say this to you because developing a sex addiction doesn’t make you weird. You could have chosen binge-watching TV shows on Netflix, alcohol, drugs, shopping, gossiping, spending hours on social media, or playing video games. But you didn’t. You chose porn, sex, affairs, or all three. But, unlike other addictions, the impact of your sex and porn addiction on your wife will be devastating.

It is essential to understand that sex addiction doesn’t make you a pervert. On the contrary, our society makes it very easy to objectify women. Pornography and masturbation are some of the first forms of intense pleasure that boys discover when they are young. If boys were exposed to alcohol or drugs as young as they were exposed to pornography, they would be much more likely to be addicted to these substances as well.

I don’t share all of this information with you to downplay or belittle sex addiction. As a recovering sex addict myself, I can tell you that this addiction is one of the worst I have seen. But I can also tell you that you are not alone, and there’s nothing wrong with you.

Sex addiction doesn’t make you a freak. I work with men who are wildly successful in sales and business. I’ve worked with doctors, lawyers, dentists, orthodontists, professional athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs. Many of them are high-achievers worth millions of dollars. They have worked tirelessly, striving to be the best at what they do. But, despite all of their efforts to build the perfect life, they struggle with an addiction that has the potential to ruin everything.

As normal as sex addiction is, it really shouldn’t be. In the beginning, sex was a biological desire that bonded two human beings together. As humans evolved, we began using this innate desire as a drug, a marketing tool, and a way to establish our social status. As humans tend to do with most things, we degraded something supernatural and turned it into a commodity. The dehumanization of sex opened the door to its use as a drug, and people with an addiction eventually found it and began abusing it.

If you have developed a pornography addiction and it’s destroying your life or your marriage. There’s a way to stop.

I have built a framework that works quickly.
